“He freed me up a little bit” – Damian Lillard from Milwaukee Bucks thanks the assistant coach for improved shooting efficiency in the last 7 games

Eight-time NBA All-Star 26 points, three rebounds, eight assists, two steals and four three-pointers. He has scored at least 25 points in five of his last seven appearances.

According to Eric Nehm of The Athletic, Lillard’s shooting percentage has increased over the last few games, and it’s no coincidence that the Milwaukee Bucks have won six of their last seven games.

Damian Lillard owes his latest success to a Milwaukee Bucks assistant

Damian Lillard was at his worst when the Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this year. When Lillard struggled with his shot, he received helpful advice from assistant Vin Baker, a former four-time NBA All-Star, that helped him get over the shock.

“We had a really long phone conversation where he basically said it’s time for you to just go and be who you are… Don’t worry about anything and be Dame Lillard. And that freed me up a little bit.” Lillard stated via Eric Nehm of The Athletic.

“I think this conversation really did something for me. That’s the only thing that has changed, other than like I said, I do the same thing. I stay in my routine. And that’s it,” he concluded.
