“He gets a lot of slander…” – Milwaukee Bucks’ Bobby Portis drops a truth bomb that will silence Doc Rivers haters

The Milwaukee Bucks have been in good shape lately as they now have: Record 12-11 after starting the season with a 2-8 record. According to Bobby Portis, head coach Doc Rivers doesn’t get enough credit for keeping the team together and turning around the team’s fortunes.

“Of course I think Doc gets a lot of slander, but for me personally and for our team he was great.” Portis said this about Rivers during his recent appearance on FanDuel’s Run It Back podcast. “He was building us up, drilling things every day.”

“We didn’t have a lot of camaraderie and chemistry at the beginning of the season – obviously we added novel elements. We haven’t played with Giannis for a long time. He was injured against the Celtics at the end of last season, didn’t make the playoffs, and now we’re trying to reacquaint ourselves with the team. I like our climate. Our spirit never wavered. The atmosphere was always there,” he added.

The Milwaukee Bucks are fresh off a 118-113 victory over the Brooklyn Nets last Sunday, with five players scoring in double figures, including Bobby Portis, who made history with 23 points.

The Milwaukee Bucks are completely focused on the NBA Cup

Despite a rollercoaster start, Milwaukee can take home a trophy in the form of the NBA Cup this season as they advanced to the playoffs (4-0) after going undefeated in the group stage.

The Milwaukee Bucks will have a chance to beat the Orlando Magic in the quarterfinals tomorrow, as the latter will be missing Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero, who will be out due to injuries torn diagonally.
