Despite Thursday’s 111-105 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the Milwaukee Bucks still had reason to celebrate and Brook Lopez made history. The one-time NBA All-Star tallied his score 1969 career blockwhich puts him in the top 20 on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez’s teammate for the past six years, praised the center for his skills and for “having his support for so many years.” After this milestone, Bobby Portis also had some kind words for Lopez.
“That’s great. The guy supported me for so many years, or when I tried to refer guys to him for some aid. Middleton said about Lopez, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “But it shows, first of all, his longevity, his ability to be in the top 20 in blocks, but also what’s crazy is the night he played from beyond the three-point line. Congratulations to him. I know he will continue to move up this list.
“He’s a good, selfless guy who sacrifices himself for the good of the team. Obviously the team leader in scoring for the Nets, great player, man. It’s pretty chilly to play with all these players on my team who break records all the time,” Portis added.
