There are a number of technological advances that have redefined the sport of ice fishing in recent decades. New batteries will allow you to power your electronics throughout the day, and probably longer.
The electronics themselves – forward-looking sonar, for example – require no further explanation. There are also fish houses that double as luxury campers, warm-weather gear that can beat the elements no matter what they are, and snails that can cut Swiss cheese through the ice in the blink of an eye. So it’s probably no surprise that ice fishing lines are following the trend of developing not only other ice fishing equipment, but also their open water fishing counterparts.
