Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love officially took part in a restricted capacity in his first practice since injuring his knee in the season opener, and Matt LaFleur’s team listed 11 other players on its first injury report of Week 3.
LaFleur said the Packers were a little “tired” after Sunday’s 16-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts at a balmy, soggy Lambeau Field. The Packers ran 70 plays on offense.
Overall, the Packers listed 12 players on their first injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. Love, who missed last week’s win over the Colts, was one of eight players restricted. LaFleur did not provide any other details about Love’s return beyond his restricted participation. Four other players did not participate in Wednesday’s practice without pads.
The Packers had four starters on the offensive line suffer fresh injuries, and first-round pick Jordan Morgan did not practice because of a shoulder injury he suffered against the Colts.
Receiver Jayden Reed, who was questionable to play but showed up Sunday, did not practice. His injury is now strictly defined as a calf issue. Reed had a calf injury during training camp.
Cornerback Carrington Valentine also did not practice due to a fresh ankle injury.
The Packers may still be recovering from Sunday, but the names on the injured list — and the potential return of Love — should make for an fascinating week injury-wise.
