The Wisconsin Badgers will face their biggest rivals, the Minnesota Golden Gophers during a Friday night college basketball showdown. The competition announcement will be held at 6:00 p.m. ET at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
This college basketball game will be broadcast on Peacock. Wisconsin is 12-3 overall and 2-2 in BIG10 Conference play this season. As for Minnesota, they have an 8-7 overall record and 0-4 in BIG10 Conference play this season.
Players to watch for the Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Golden Gophers ahead of the game
Greg Gard’s team last played on Monday night against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Three players scored in double figures for the Badgers. Steven Crowl scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had three assists. John Blackwell led Wisconsin with 21 points on Monday night. He also added four rebounds and recorded three assists.
John Tonje scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had two assists in Monday’s game against Rutgers. The Wisconsin Badgers cannot afford to lose in Friday’s game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers.
Ben Johnson is the head coach of the Golden Gophers. Minnesota last played on Monday against the Ohio State Buckeyes and it went to overtime. On Monday night, four different players scored in double figures against the Buckeyes. Parker Fox scored 21 points, grabbed five rebounds and recorded one assist.
Lu’Cye Patterson scored 20 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists. Mike Mitchell Jr. and Isaac Asuma each scored 18 points for the Golden Gophers against the Buckeyes. The Badgers defense will need to be focused against the Golden Gophers.

The Badgers need to hit over .500 in conference play. A loss to Minnesota would be a terrible loss for the resumption of the NCAA tournament in Wisconsin in 2025. Wisconsin should have no excuse to get the job done on Friday night.
