The program explores their history, their idyllic surroundings, their unique architecture, the people who called these lighthouses home, and the delicate they shed on a bygone era.
Immediately after the film, join us for a panel discussion titled “Reviving the History of the Wisconsin Lighthouse.” We will shine a delicate on the pioneering ways Wisconsinites tell the luxurious history of our state’s lighthouses. Listen to a panel of experts discuss the beauty, significance and challenges of sharing the history of the Wisconsin Lighthouse through film, immersive storytelling and cutting-edge technology.
Drop by before 7 p.m. to be among the first to see the interactive companion to “Wisconsin Lighthouses: Illuminating Cana Island.” This 3D feature on pbswisconsin.org will allow digital “guests” to explore the Cana Island Lighthouse both inside and outside.
