“Limited” sections remain the only information from the Packers on Jordan Love’s status

For the second week in a row, Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur is not revealing anything more about Jordan Love’s status beyond a one-word statement about his daily practice participation.

“Limited.”

Injured players are divided into three categories on the injury report: full participation, confined participation and no participation. Asked three or four different ways Thursday about Love’s work in practice, LaFleur responded that he had a few variations of the word “limited” and not much else.

Last week, Love rarely participated in Wednesday, Thursday and Friday practices and was deemed unable to play. He was inactive. The same practice participation is taking place this week, although there is greater optimism that Love will play on Sunday.

“We’ll see, we’ll give him time to play,” LaFleur said.

In an attempt to limit the information given to the Minnesota Vikings, the Packers are once again playing their cards close to their chests. In other words, LaFleur wants to make sure the Vikings spend valuable time preparing for two different quarterbacks.

Malik Willis, a quarterback who can play both scrambler and run game, has won back-to-back games. The Vikings will need to have game plans ready for both Love and Willis.

According to LaFleur, Kenny Clark, Luke Musgrave, Jayden Reed, Carrington Valentine, Devonte Wyatt and Jaire Alexander were also confined Thursday.

This isn’t just a quarterback problem. When asked about LaFleur’s level of concern regarding Alexander’s injury, LaFleur replied “it was limited.”

The Packers will provide a final injury report with a status determination Friday afternoon. Given how the week is going, it’s almost certain that Love will be deemed questionable on Friday.
