The Sports Heritage Council, an organization established by the Wisconsin Legislature in 2011 and coordinated by the Department of Natural Resources, has not met since 2022.
An article in the latest issue of Wisconsin Outdoor News reported that the council met in October 2023, but the last meeting was held virtually on October 18, 2022, when there was no quorum and members could not take a position on the matter. The fact that the council did not meet in 2023 and that members heard little from the DNR has left members concerned about the council’s future.
