Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang not only won his first Gold Glove in 2024, but he is now a Platinum Award winner. The Platinum Glove Award is given to the top defenseman, regardless of position, in each league. Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh won a platinum glove in the American League.
Brice Turang comments on winning the National League Platinum Glove Award
After announcing the platinum gloves winners on Friday evening, Brice Turang he commented that he was the winning recipient. His answer was everything that reflected the Brewers’ 2024 lineup. He mentioned that he was doing everything right and doing everything he could to lend a hand his team win.
“The first step really matters. The distance you cover. How many of the plays you make are routine compared to other guys. These things are crucial, but the most crucial thing is winning. If I can lend a hand my team win, I will do it in any way I can. That’s what really matters.”

Brice Turang is the first Brewers player to ever win the Platinum Glove Award. He is also the only second baseman to win a Gold Glove in franchise history. This year, he led all defensive players in defensive runs saved with +22 and led all National League players in defensive wins above replacement.
