This year Milwaukee Breweries The initial immersion depth is tested like never before. They started the year without two elite players at the top of the rotation (Corbin Burnes traded and Brandon Woodruff injured), and many pitchers such as Wade Miley, DL Hall, Joe Ross, Jakob Junis, and most recently Robert Gasser landed on injured rotation. list.
Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy’s latest comments show just how much their initial diving depth is being tested.
Despite ongoing concerns about starting pitching depth, manager Pat Murphy found a way to shake things up a bit at the humerus. Before the end of the Philadelphia Phillies series, with Aaron Ashby starting and Robert Gasser being placed on the IL, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel pointed out that Murphy conveyed that the pitching was on everyone’s radar. This also applies if you throw the ball well downfield.
“If you’re in our organization right now and you’re vigorous and you’re doing well, you’re being considered. If one day you shoot well from the field, you might be considered too.
Pat Murphy has confirmed that two specific players will be considered for promotion to the massive league, which includes their sixth-place contender.
When asked specifically about sixth-ranked prospect Carlos Rodriguez and unranked pitcher Chad Patrick, manager Pat Murphy confirmed that the two had discussed a call-up to the massive leagues. Rodriguez has been the organizational pitcher of the year the past two seasons, and Patrick is having a great season in Triple-A.
Pat Murphy was asked whether right-hander Carlos Rodriguez (International League pitcher of the month) or right-hander Chad Patrick had discussed a call-up given all the injury issues, and he confirmed that they had.

Looking at Carlos Rodriguez and Chad Patrick’s 2024 stats.
Right-handed pitcher Carlos Rodriguez started the 2024 season extremely badly, but since the calendar turned to May, his form has been very good. Over his last six starts, he hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs in a single run, and he’s had four quality starts in that stretch. His ERA dropped from 8.13 on April 28 to 5.17 on June 5.
Chad Patrick, 25, also a right-handed pitcher, is off to a great start in his first year with the Brewers organization. He was acquired in the offseason as Abraham Toro’s return to the Oakland Athletics and currently has an ERA of 2.87 in 53.1 innings pitched. He has 12 strikeouts this year and overall is a reliable arm for the Nashville Sounds in Triple-A.

It will be compelling to see how the Brewers perform in the starting rotation going forward, especially with Robert Gasser sidelined and Aaron Ashby putting in a solid performance. Milwaukee has three of four Thursdays off in June, so that could support them weather a spate of on-field injuries, but it also wouldn’t be surprising to see Rodriguez or Patrick make their MLB debuts.
