Around this time, Craig Counsell announced he was signing a five-year, $40 million contract to manage the division rival Chicago Cubs. During the radio segment, the 94.5 ESPN Milwaukee hosts were furious about Craig Counsell’s return to American Family Field. Some time was spent discussing the fact that while he provided consistency and wins for the Brewers, he ultimately fell tiny of the end goal of winning the World Series. For this reason, his legacy will always be remembered, leaving the Brewers without a championship.

During American Family Field 94.5, ESPN Milwaukee asked fans to share a message with Craig Counsell. There was a lot of censorship to be done in the music video, but overall the fans were saying we didn’t need him, they were joyful that the Cubs still sucked and that he was a traitor.

Outside of the current four-game Brewers vs. Cubs series, which runs from May 27-30, there is only one regular-season series in which Craig Counsell will return to Milwaukee. This is a weekend series from June 28 to 30. The Brewers and Cubs’ final regular-season game this year will take place immediately after the All-Star break from July 22-26 and will be played at Wrigley Field.
