The Milwaukee Brewers have compiled a list of moves that are under the radar this offseason. Their newest addition is reportedly a 31-year-old catcher with eight years of huge league experience.

The team hasn’t confirmed it, but MLB insider Mike Rodriguez reported the catcher Jorge Alfaro signed a minor league contract with the Brewers which includes an invitation to huge league camp. Alfaro will be the third catcher to receive a non-roster invitation to huge league camp from Milwaukee this offseason, as David Garcia and Ramon Rodriguez have been confirmed additions.

Throughout his MLB career Jorge Alfaro he spent time with the Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins, San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox. He didn’t see any major league playing time in 2024, but from 2016-2023 his averages were .253/.302/.393. His best season came in 2019 with the Marlins, when he hit 18 home runs and collected 57 RBIs.
