Milwaukee Brewers: After a 9-4 loss to the Houston Astros, one player extended the best streak in the MLB league, another player had his streak broken

The Milwaukee Breweries in Houston, they lost the series finale 9-4 and overall lost two of three games to the Astros. Additionally, during the last game, one Brewers player extended the best streak in the MLB, while another had his streak snapped.

Sunday wasn’t pitcher Colin Rea’s best day. After taking one lead in the top of the first, Rea gave up four runs in the bottom half. He ended up giving up five earned runs in as many innings. There was constant movement in the bases against him as he gave up eight hits and four walks.

After Rei left, Thyago Vieira gave up a home run and Milwaukee trailed 6-1. The Brewers cut the lead by three runs in the seventh inning, but immediately made up the deficit when Kyle Tucker hit a three-run home run off Mitch White.

William Contreras lost his best on-base streak in MLB.

After hitting an impressive home run off Justin Verlander on Saturday night, William Contreras extended his MLB home run streak to 25 games. Unfortunately, he was unable to reach base safely on Sunday as he went 0-5 after two strikeouts. Overall this season, Contreras reached base safely in 42 of 46 games.

Brice Turang stole his 35th consecutive base without getting caught.

A streak that began in July 2023 continues for Brice Turang, who stole his 35th consecutive base without getting caught on Sunday. That stolen base, his 18th of the season, was special because he was hit in the forehead while diving to third base and had to replace his helmet.
