Milwaukee Brewers Arbitration Salary Projections for 2025

The Milwaukee Brewers have 10 players who are eligible for arbitration-based salaries this offseason. Arbitration is the process by which players under a team’s control determine their salaries for the upcoming season. Players are eligible for arbitration based on MLB seniority (at least three years) and salaries are determined by identifying them with comparable players.

Here we provide estimated salaries for 10 brewers eligible for arbitration players for the 2025 season.

Seven Brewers pitchers will be arbitration-eligible in 2025. The player’s name and salary projection are below.

  • Aaron Civale – $8.0 million
  • Devin Williams $7.7 million ($10.5 million club option/$250,000 buyout)
  • Joel Payamps $2.8 million
  • Hoby Milner $2.7 million
  • Trevor Megill $2.0 million
  • Bryse Wilson – $1.5 million
  • Nick Mears $900,000

Of this group, the decision regarding Devin Williams is probably the most engaging. The The Brewers and Williams avoided arbitration last season (prior to the injury announcement) and set his club option for 2025 to potentially avoid re-arbitration. However, he was injured for more than half of 2024, and as a result, his salary is only projected to escalate by $700,000. Milwaukee could decline his club option, pay him a $250,000 buyout and still keep him under team control. By doing so, they would have a forceful case to save the organization approximately $2.8 million.

  • Williams Contreras for $7.6 million
  • Jake Bauer’s $2.3 million
  • Eric Haase $1.8 million
