On Saturday, September 7, Braylon Payne reached base safely in all six of his at-bats. The Mudcats jumped out to a six-nil lead in the first inning and scored 18 runs. Braylon Payne finished 4-4 with a double, three RBIs, two walks, and four stolen bases. Three of his stolen bases came from first to second base, and one from second to third.

It includes footage of his hustle double, in which he turned what looked like a bloop single into a double because the infielders forgot to cover second base. What does Braylon Payne have in store for the rest of 2024?
Braylon Payne joined the Carolina Mudcats at the end of the regular season. The Mudcats will begin postseason play Tuesday, September 10 with a best-of-three series. If they win that series, they will play in the Championship Series, which is also a best-of-three series. After the remainder of the Carolina season, the Brewers could elect to have Payne play in the Arizona Fall League (mid-October to early November), but it is also possible that he will undergo an offseason workout program in preparation for his first full Minor League season in 2025.
