Unfortunately, the Carolina Mudcats’ postseason run ended in the Carolina League North Division Series, but infielder Braylon Payne was able to play in both games. Payne had previously played in four regular-season games, in which he was 7-16 with five RBIs, three walks, and four stolen bases. In the playoffs, he was 1-6, but received two free passes. In six Single-A games, Payne reached base safely in every contest.

What lessons has the 2024 Milwaukee Brewers first-round draft pick learned from his first six professional games?

Braylon Payne shared some key takeaways from his first taste of professional baseball. He mentioned his confidence in the offseason as he made a name for himself (example one: he had four hits and four stolen bases). Payne also admitted that he learned that there will be ups and downs, because one day he can be 4-4 and the next 0-4.

What does Braylon Payne want to accomplish in the offseason and when does he see himself joining the Milwaukee Brewers?

Braylon Payne was selected as one of the youngest players in this year’s draft, as he was just 17 years venerable when the Brewers selected him. Now 18, his main goal this offseason is to put on muscle. Weighing in at around 192 pounds, Payne hopes to report at around 205 pounds this spring. His long-term goal is to make it to Major League Baseball early and make the large leagues by the time he’s 21.
