Milwaukee Brewers: Brewers lost to Dodgers 5-3 in last minute

The Milwaukee Brewers opened a three-game series with the NL West-leading Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night. Milwaukee fell compact on Friday’s assignment, and while they clinched their seventh grand slam of the season, it still wasn’t enough to defeat Los Angeles in an 8-5 loss. The score was tied 3-3 last night heading into the eighth inning. The Brewers were stunned when the Dodgers scored two runs in the final minute, giving Milwaukee no chance to come back in the ninth inning during 5-3 loss.

Milwaukee is now 52-38 on the season. They lead the NL Central by five games over the second-place St. Louis Cardinals. Los Angeles is now 55-35. They lead the NL West by seven games over the second-place San Diego Padres. The Brewers will face the Dodgers one more time before they begin a three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night.
