Milwaukee Breweries Second baseman Brice Turang has been a key player in the team’s success this year. He plays Gold Glove-caliber defense, bats first and steals a lot of bases. Against the Cincinnati Reds, he stole his 40th base of the year, becoming just the ninth player in Brewers history to do so.
Only nine Milwaukee Brewers players have stolen at least 40 bases in a single season.
The Brewers have had 13 seasons in which a player has stolen at least 40 bases in a season, but Brice Turang is only the ninth different player to accomplish the feat. Other Milwaukee players to have stolen bags include Tommy Harper, Scott Podsednik, Jonathan Villar, Pat Listach, Paul Molitor, Jean Segura, Darryl Hamilton and Carlos Gomez.

Who holds the Milwaukee Brewers record for most stolen bases in a single season?
Tommy Harper holds the Milwaukee Brewers record for stolen bases in a season with 73. He did it in the 1969 season. Scott Podsednik came close in 2004 with 70 stolen bases, Jonathan Villar (2016) is third with 62, and Pat Listach (1992) is the only other player with more than 50 with 54.
Brice Turang is also a member of the exclusive 30/40 club.
According to Nugget Chef in X, Brice Turang is one of three MLB players this year with 30 extra bases hit and 40 stolen bases. The others are Shohei Ohtani and Elly De La Cruz. Nugget Chef also pointed out that seven other Brewers were part of the 30/40 club, with Jonathan Villar being the latest.
