Milwaukee Brewers Rookie of the Year finalist Jackson Chourio was announced as the third place winner in this year’s edition of the award. The 20-year-old finished behind Jakson Merrill (second place) and Paul Skenes (first place). Regardless of the result, it has been a fantastic season for Chourio and his future looks radiant.
What did the voting for the 2024 Rookie of the Year look like?
Paul Skenes won the 2024 Rookie of the Year award with a total of 136 points. He received 23 first-place votes and seven second-place votes. Jackson Merrill received the opposite of that and finished with 104 points. Finally, Jackson Chourio received 26 votes in third place.

Throughout the franchise’s history, three Milwaukee Brewers players have won Rookie of the Year honors
If Jackson Chourio were to win the 2024 Rookie of the Year award, he would be the fourth player in franchise history to do so. The number is likely to remain at three. Devin Williams was the last player to win this award (2020), Ryan Braun won the award in 2007 and Pat Listash won it in 1992.
