Milwaukee Breweries Drafted in the eighth round of the 2023 MLB Draft, Crag Yoho is having a phenomenal minor league season. He started the year in Single-A, dominated Double-A, and was recently promoted to Triple-A, where he made his debut with the Nashville Sounds on August 9. He went viral during his debut with a nasty changeup that confused the statcast and was recorded as a foul throw.
Craig Yoho threw a scoreless inning in his Triple-A debut.
After posting a 47% strikeout rate in Double-A, Craig Yoho was promoted to Triple-A. In his Sounds debut, he threw a scoreless inning, did not allow any runners on base, struck out nine batters, and struck out one batter.
Milwaukee Brewers slugger Craig Yoho became popular for the changeup he made in his Triple-A debut.
In his Triple-A debut, Craig Yoho threw a changeup that caught the attention of baseball fans everywhere. Yoho, a right-handed pitcher, managed to get 47 inches of vertical (downward) movement on the changeup, which Statcast recorded as a curveball thrown by a left-handed pitcher. According to Curt Hogg, only one MLB pitcher had a changeup with that much movement all year.

How does Craig Yoho’s changeup compare to Devin Williams?
Milwaukee Brewers closer Devin Williams currently has one of the worst changeups in the league. His changeup has been called an airbender and has a lot of vertical movement. Since 2020, Williams’ changeup has averaged between 40 and 43 inches of vertical movement each season.
