The Milwaukee Breweries and the Miami Marlins began a three-game series on Monday, May 20. In this competition, the Brew Crew starter was removed after the first round due to back stiffness. As a result, manager Pat Murphy used seven different relievers, and his team missed an extra inning when Josh Bell hit a base hit.
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Joe Ross was removed after one inning of a game against the Miami Marlins.
Against the Marlins, Joe Ross scored no runs in the first inning, but did not return to the mound for the second inning. Bally Sports reporter Sophia Minnaert mentioned that he had been struggling with some back stiffness before the match, but felt it well enough during the warm-up. He ended up being taken out of the game with a back injury.
Joe Ross is out after 15 pitches in the first inning. Pat Murphy said on the bench that Ross had been struggling with tightness in his back before the match and felt well enough after the warm-up. In the first round, the situation escalated again.

After Joe Ross left due to injury, the Milwaukee Brewers played in seven different ballparks.
To deal with Ross’s manager, Pat Murphy, he had to get innovative. He used Jared Koenig for 2.2 innings, Joel Payamps for 1.1, Hoby Milner for 1.1, Elvis Peguero 0.2, Bryan Hudson 1.0, Trevor Megill 1.0, then called up Mitch in the tenth inning White. The day before, White threw 41 pitches in a game against the Houston Astros. Bradley Blalock, who had been named to the major league team for the first time in his career earlier in the day, was available but was not selected to pitch and make his MLB debut.
Joe Ross is considering an internship at Illinois State.
Per Toss Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, this latest release will likely result in Joe Ross being moved to the injured list. Earlier this year, teammate Christian Yelich missed almost a month with back strain. Schedules are often hard to predict with these types of injuries, so it will be engaging to see how long this keeps Ross sidelined.
Looks like a stay in Illinois for Joe Ross.
Additionally, Joey Ortiz has an X-ray on his right foot, which concerns him after taking a hit on it earlier in the match.
The hits keep coming.
