This Milwaukee Breweries farm system continues to shine. Cooper Pratt has been one of their breakout prospects this year and has been rewarded with a nomination for the Futures Game, which will be played on Saturday, July 13. In addition to Pratt, one of their other top prospects recently hit his first career multi-homer game.

2023 first-round draft pick Brock Wilken has been in great form in July, slashing .257/.366/.629 with four home runs and 10 RBIs in nine games. On July 11, he hit his first multi-homer game as a professional baseball player.

How has Brock Wilken fared this year?
In 229 at-bats at the Double-A level this year, Brock Wilken has a .758 OPS and a .231 batting average. He has crushed 12 home runs and struck out 34 batters. He has a 26% strikeout rate and a wRC+ of 122.
At the start of 2024, Brock Wilken was struggling with an injury.
Five games into the 2024 minor league season, Brock Wilken suffered a horrific injury when he was hit in the face by a fastball. It left him with multiple facial fractures that required surgery, but he miraculously returned to playing baseball with the Biloxi Shuckers on May 4.
After hitting .235 batting average in May and .227 in June, he seems to be hitting his stride and warming up. Hopefully, he can operate that momentum to have a powerful second half of the season.
