The Milwaukee Breweries on Friday night they played one of their away games against the Boston Red Sox. After a tie in the game between the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals Milwaukee currently leads the league with two-and-a-half and five-and-a-half games over each, respectively. They also lead the Pittsburgh Pirates by six games and the Cincinnati Reds by eight and a half games.
The evening featured a solid offensive performance, something they desperately needed after losing their last game to the Miami Marlins 1-0. Christian Yelich had three hits and Willy Adames had two of four and a double-RBI.
Milwaukee was also helped by great pitching from Bryse Wilson. Although he did not start, he entered the first minute with two outs, threw five and one-third innings and allowed only two runs while striking out seven.
The star of the night, as it had been for most of the season, was catcher William Contreras.

William Contreras is having the best offensive season of his career. He is currently hitting .337/.412/.538 with eight home runs and 42 RBI. His 43 runs scored lead the National League.
Last night, Contreras hit two for-fors with a giant two-run home run that beat the renowned Green Monster in left field at Fenway Park.

As seen in the video, the ball destroyed a bucket of popcorn belonging to several Red Sox fans. After the home run, Brewers TV analyst Tim Dillard brought fans a novel bucket of popcorn and learned that they were a newlywed couple.
So after the match, Apple TV and Contreras teamed up to do something amazing.

After the match, the Apple TV crew brought both fans onto the pitch. Contreras autographed the popcorn bucket (above the mark the ball left on it) and then posed for a photo with the newlyweds:
I love baseball.

It may not be a substantial gesture, but it was certainly fun and it’s a memory fans will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
Perhaps Contreras will get a few extra votes in the All-Star Game once voting begins.
