With an average of 1.6 fouls per game, he was among the top foulers in the lineup despite playing fewer minutes than many of his teammates. This problem continued in the postseason as his fouls increased to an average of two per game.

During his college career at UConn, Jackson struggled with foul trouble, averaging 2.7 fouls over three seasons. While some of his offenses can be attributed to rookie nerves, it’s essential for him to refine his defensive approach if he wants to secure a more prominent role in Milwaukee’s rotation. Many of his fouls were due to unnecessary reaching or excessive physicality, highlighting the need for better judgment on the pitch.

The upcoming season will be a up-to-date opportunity for Jackson to prove his worth on the court. For Buck Pass’ Dalton Sell he explained how he can do this in his latest NBA analysis.

“In Andre Jackson Jr.’s game There were many things to like about his rookie year with the Bucks, but his tendency to foul wasn’t one of them. In his first season in the NBA, he committed a total of 92 personal fouls, which often resulted in his exclusion from the game. If he can increase his strength and limit his fouls, he will be a sophomore he could undoubtedly play a role for himself”- wrote Sell.

Fortunately, Jackson has the basketball IQ and work ethic to improve in this area. Gaining more consistent playing time will allow him to learn from his mistakes and continue to develop his skills. By focusing on reducing fouls and playing smarter defensively, Jackson can raise his minutes and raise his contribution to the Bucks.
