Milwaukee Bucks co-owner reveals huge expectations for the 2024-25 NBA season

Few casual NBA fans would consider the Milwaukee Bucks to be massive favorites to win the second Larry O’Brien Trophy of the Giannis Antetokounmpo era.

While they admit this is a scary matchup for the remaining teams in the association, they are not favored to be eliminated from the Eastern Conference. The average fan would look at their offseason acquisitions and the quality of their coaching staff before dismissing them as the most likely candidate from the East.

However, the most die-hard Bucks fan might argue that it won’t take many changes for the Bucks to become grave NBA title contenders. The quality of the squad they have built over the course of the season is more than enough to warrant grave conversation about them as contenders.

One of the team’s co-owners echoed those sentiments, saying the upcoming season promises exhilarating times for Wisconsinite basketball fans.

FOX6 Milwaukee’s Lily Zhao interviewed Bucks co-owner Jamie Dinan to talk about the Bucks. She asked him about his predictions for the team, and his answer revealed how high his expectations were for the team:

“You know, Lily, what really excites me is that the team is healthy,” Bucks co-owner Jamie Dinan said. “I think we heard the Doctor talking about Khris being in great shape, for example. Giannis recovered, Dame recovered. We have some new guys on the team, Gary Trent Jr., who played almost the entire season in Toronto last year. I have Taurean Prince, same thing, I played almost every game with the Lakers last year. I think we have some really good additions; we have a healthy core. We have a really good team.”

Dinan’s focus on the availability of the current squad shows how much he trusts its quality going forward. Bucks fans will remember how the team limped through the 2024 season due to injuries. Still, everyone will argue that the season would have been different if Giannis, Dame and the rest of Milwaukee’s team had played at full strength.

Middleton will be a key figure, and fans hope he stays vigorous long enough to make a positive contribution. Moreover, Damian Lillard promised to improve after his disappointing debut with the Bucks.

If everything falls into place and no players are sidelined due to injury, Milwaukee Bucks fans can expect their team to make a forceful postseason run reminiscent of their epic 2021 championship win.
