Milwaukee Bucks fans have one clear message for Bobby Portis amid offseason questions

Bobby Portis of the Milwaukee Bucks has been constantly mentioned in the media lately as one of the team’s offseason assets. But if fans of the series have their way, the large man won’t be kicked out of Cream City.

Portis was drafted 22nd overall in the first round by the Chicago Bulls after a successful collegiate career at the University of Arkansas. With the Bulls, the large man blossomed into a promising juvenile power forward. He made his NBA debut in 2015 and had several forceful performances, including a game against the New York Knicks where he scored 20 points and had 11 rebounds in his rookie season. He continued to develop over the next few years, showcasing his scoring, rebounding and defensive skills. In 2017, he had a record 27 points.

In 2017, Portis was involved in a physical altercation with teammate Nikola Mirotic during training, which led to an eight-game suspension. However, he returned to form and had a solid year in 2018-19 before being traded to the Washington Wizards mid-season.

He then spent a tiny stint with the New York Knicks before signing with Milwaukee in 2020. Along with two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, he continues to be a valuable bench player, contributing to their 2021 NBA Championship. Now in his eighth season in the NBA, the Bucks fan favorite has established himself as a reliable forward who can make an impact on both ends pitches.

Portis recently shared a series of photos of him practicing on the pitch on your account X. Naturally, Bucks fans expressed their opinion and begged him to stay in Milwaukee.

“You’re going to be a Milwaukee Buck!” Ghost tweeted.

“Good Boy” Obizobe said.

“Please Stay Bobby” GiannisGotAura posted.

“You will stay with us” bensbighog reacted.

“Don’t let them replace you or I’ll cry.” Brooklyn shared.

Portis has two years left on his contract and has a player option in the last one. In the previous campaign, the large man averaged 13.8 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 82 regular season games.
