Milwaukee Bucks fans say NBA is rigged after referee’s statements regarding Phantom Giannis foul

The Milwaukee Bucks lost to the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday afternoon score 115-114. Playing another game without All-Star point guard Damian Lillard, Milwaukee was led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who recorded his first triple-double of the season. He scored 22 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists with two blocks. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.

Lillard, of course, missed the last few games after a referee inadvertently hit him in the head during the Bucks’ game against the Boston Celtics, resulting in him suffering a concussion.

However, despite the Greek’s good play, this defeat will not be remembered for his extraordinary effectiveness. It will be remembered for the terrible foul that gave the Hornets the win.

With a few seconds left, the Bucks were leading 114-113. Charlotte had the ball and they gave it to their best point guard, Lamelo Ball. Fortunately, Milwaukee managed to make a defensive change and Giannis guarded the All-Star Hornets.

As Ball drove to the basket, he lost his balance and fell to the ground. The whistle blew and the two-time Bucks MVP was whistled for a foul.

The only problem was that he hadn’t done anything wrong.

After the game, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers asked the referees to call:

“I thought the last play was the referee’s signal,” Rivers said. “These are now matches in a row in which an incorrect decision was made in the last action.

“LaMelo Ball went down. He just fell. There was no one nearby. He slipped himself. We come in with the ball and the game ends. So in the next games we got a call against us which is incorrect. We were lucky the kid missed two free throws in Detroit. LaMelo Ball made free throws tonight.

As Milwaukee fans remember, a similar situation occurred in the final seconds of the victory over Detroit. Giannis was assessed a foul when he actually made a neat block. Fortunately, the Pistons missed two free throws and Milwaukee won in overtime.

After the match, team principal Chris Blair said: “During the live game we reported illegal contact between the legs. In our post-game review, when we looked at the action, there was no illegal contact during the game.

He also admitted that if the Bucks had challenged the call (they had no challenge at the time), the foul would have been vacated.

Milwaukee could win this game.

Needless to say, Bucks fans were in disbelief on social media:

Regardless, Milwaukee is currently 4-9 on the season. Of course, they still have time to save the year; However, it will be arduous for them if they continue to lose games like this.
