Milwaukee Bucks: Fans share 1 request after seeing the two-time NBA champion in training camp

The Milwaukee Bucks have begun preparing for the 2024-25 NBA season, and they’re getting facilitate from one of the best point guards in history. Former Boston Celtics point guard and two-time NBA champion Rajon Rondo is a guest coach for the Bucks during their training camp.

In a Bucks social media post on X (formerly Twitter), Rondo is seen on the court, seemingly giving instructions to the team, with Milwaukee guard Damian Lillard in the background.

Rondo has some ties to the Bucks. First, there’s head coach Doc Rivers, who scored for Rondo and the Celtics during Boston’s 2008 title run. Rondo, who is now retired from playing professional basketball, may also be looking at a coaching career, which seems like a successful fit for one of the smartest players to ever play in the NBA.

Online fans even want the Milwaukee Bucks to hire Rondo as a member of the team’s coaching staff

Here are some fan reactions to Rondo’s offseason stint with the Bucks:

“Keep him on staff full-time. Make a call to the administrator”

“One of the greatest on-court minds of all time. I hope it stays forever!”

“Bucks, please sign him to an official contract, he would be an extremely valuable mind in terms of developing our chemistry and younger players.”

“Definitely make him an assistant coach. One of the best minds in NBA history.”

“Make him your assistant immediately.”

“If he wasn’t going to go with my Lakers, it’s good that he makes Wisconsin better. Take care of him for pennies. You have an amazing future coach on your hands.”

Over his 16-year league career, Rondo averaged 9.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.9 assists in 957 games.
