The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Atlanta Hawks 110-102 in the NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas. The Bucks will enter the championship game and will face either the Thunder or the Rockets.
Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was instrumental in Milwaukee’s 32 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists, while Damian Lillard added 25. Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young was key for the Hawks as the newborn star scored 35 points and 10 assists , but she missed the shot for free, the shots cost Atlanta.
Giannis reaches a major milestone
Giannis Antetokounmpo overtook Bob Lanier (19248) move up to 60th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. He has the most 30/10/5 games in the NBA since the NBA-ABA merger (1976-77).
On the season, he is averaging 32.7 points per game, 11.5 RPG and 6.1 assists per game. Giannis is having an MVP season and is playing like he’s the best player in the league.
This season, Giannis Antetokounmpo has lowered his three-point rate to the lowest of his career and is shooting much better from inside, especially from long midrange, up from 34% to 46%. This opens up a lot of opportunities both in the post-up and on the perimeter.
