Milwaukee Bucks fans were thrilled to see Giannis Antetokounmpo play in the Olympics. While Greece he didn’t go any further than some die-hard Bucks fans might have expected, Paris has witnessed just how much of an impact the “Greek Freak” has had on Milwaukee over the past decade.
Now that Paris is behind us, Giannis and the rest of the NBA athletes in Paris are focused on preparing for the upcoming NBA season. However, that doesn’t mean the players can’t get some rest before training camp begins.
Everyone knows how animated Giannis is as a person off the court. His magnetic personality has some fans wishing he would create reactionary content for them to consume while the season is still a few months away.
Another manifestation of Giannis’ magnetic personality comes to lightweight as his recent interaction fascinated fans.
Giannis Antetokounmpo makes WILD offer for sporadic Team USA card
Nathan Yasis of ClutchPoints reports that Giannis is reportedly making an insane offer for a sporadic Team USA card signed by LeBron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant. It’s a one-of-a-kind card that will have the most avid card collectors salivating at the thought of owning it.
He reportedly made an incredible offer of $150,000 for the rights to own the game, but there are rumors that his already impressive offer is a bit low:
Topps revealed on Instagram that Giannis Antetokounmpo recently offered $150,000 in an IG Stories post to purchase a triple Topps NOW 1/1 autograph card featuring Team USA’s Big 3.
Antetokounmpo the offer applies to a card that has not been issued yet yet and will likely not reach collectors before September. However, its bid is considered relatively low.
The question remains whether Giannis will continue to try to acquire players when bigger offers come his way, but it is fascinating to see that he is just as interested in basketball as the average fan.
Milwaukee Bucks fans expect the same from the Greek
While Giannis does whatever he wants in the offseason, Bucks fans are hoping that once the fresh season begins, he can do more of what he did last year.
The 29-year-old missed the playoffs but was a solid player who helped the Bucks win last year, averaging 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists. in 73 starts for the Bucks last year. Fans are hoping he and Damian Lillard can lead the Bucks to a deep postseason run next year.
