Greece managed to reach the quarter-final round despite winning only one match in group play. The team started its campaign in Paris with an 86-79 defeat against Canada, followed by an 84-77 defeat against Spain. Antetokounmpo and company then defeated Australia in a thrilling contest by a score of 77-71. However, Greece failed to defeat reigning world champion Germany in the quarterfinals as the Greeks fell to Dennis Schroder and the Germans 76-63.
