Milwaukee Bucks: Khris Middleton Gives Great Updates Ahead of 2024-2025 Campaign

It’s clear that the Milwaukee Bucks need more than just their star duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard to win an NBA title. If they want to beat the best teams in the Eastern Conference and have a chance at an NBA championship, every person on their roster must do their part.

While every Bucks player needs to improve his game, it’s difficult to find more pressure than what Khris Middleton is experiencing. He was a central figure in the Bucks’ 2021 championship run, but injuries robbed him of the opportunity to impact the team on a more consistent basis.

Questions surround his health and his impact on the team, so it’s difficult not to blame fans for being skeptical about his long-term future with the squad. However, the striker did provide encouraging news that will make fans hopeful about his post-season chances.

Lance Roberson of Athlon Sports announced that the team’s third option will be able to play for the Bucks after successful ankle surgery:

Middleton will be ready for the 2024-25 season after two surgeries, one on each ankle. Despite an injury-riddled season, Middleton miraculously averaged a career-high 24 points in the playoffs in the Bucks’ loss to the Pacers. While the Bucks look to maintain a higher position in the Eastern Conference, the Pacers look to finish with a top-four record.

The 33-year-old forward has had a down year compared to his legendary 2021 Finals run. He finished campaign for 2023–24 with 15.1 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists.

His injuries will continue to make fans question whether he is still a man the Bucks can rely on as a third option, but the team knows he will do everything in his power to facilitate them get back to the Finals.
