Milwaukee Bucks fans only have to wait a few more weeks before their favorite basketball team returns and delights them with fantastic basketball.
While there are still questions about the durability of the squad as contenders for the Larry O’Brien Trophy, no one will question the quality of their squad. The Bucks are a tough opponent for any NBA team to stop with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard on the floor.
To further prove that few consider the Bucks to be top contenders for the 2025 NBA title, they are not among teams playing on Christmas Day. It’s common knowledge that league games feature some of the most invigorating teams in the league, so excluding the Bucks from the list is simply slanderous to Bucks fans.
One of the team’s key players came forward and talked about the snub. He didn’t mince his words in expressing his straightforward thoughts on the matter.
Khris Middleton believes the Milwaukee Bucks are underrated after snubbing games on Christmas Day
During the Bucks’ media day, Middleton was asked about his team’s exclusion from Christmas marquee games. He added that he thinks the league underestimates the team.
For Julian Ojeda from ClutchPoints: :
“I think we kind of got overlooked,” said Middleton, ass reported Jamal Collier of ESPN. “I think we should play the game on Christmas Day. However, it was different in the NBA. I don’t need this as extra motivation… but I’m a little disappointed.”
Giannis and head coach Doc Rivers also preached the same as Middleton:
Antetokounmpo echoed his teammate’s sentiments, adding: “We’ve always been overlooked.”
“We are all paying attention to this. We see it, we read it,” Rivers said. “I don’t think I’ll need to use it. It will take advantage of itself, if you know what I mean.”
The Milwaukee Bucks may have a mountain to climb if they want to dispel the narratives surrounding them. If they make it to the finals by June, they will certainly be among the first teams considered for next year’s marquee competition.
