Milwaukee Bucks: LeBron James makes one controversial statement ahead of preseason clash with Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks and the rest of the NBA are intensifying their preparations as the start of the 2024-25 season approaches with each passing day. This is a chance for the team’s stars to shake off off-season rust, and for the coaching staff to make the necessary changes to start their campaign for the Larry O’Brien Trophy on the right foot.

While few fans appreciate the team’s preseason games, they are a chance for them to see how the team’s reinforcements and Doc Rivers’ full preseasons aid Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard achieve their goal of winning a title.

One of the most vital games in their pre-season calendar is the match against the Los Angeles Lakers. Greek Freak has already delighted fans with a mysterious message, showing that for them this competition is more than just a game to improve their mood.

It appears the stakes have increased even more when one of the opposing team’s stars posted a highly controversial piece of information on social media.

LeBron James is as talented a basketball player as he is an outgoing person. His most ardent fans will argue that he has earned the right to say whatever he wants. The 39-year-old is still one of the most dominant players on the court.

However, his latest sentiments about the upcoming preseason meeting at Fiserv Forum will have Rivers using his announcement as motivation to crush the Purple and Gold.

For Khobi Price on the Los Angeles Daily News: :

“Can someone explain to me why we’re getting into… [plane emoji] and we’ll go to Milwaukee [one] preseason game!?!?” James posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday.

Thursday’s game will be the third of six preseason games for the Lakers, and all of their exhibitions will be played away from their home arena, the Crypto.com Arena.

If you look at it from James’ point of view, it’s understandable why he made such a comment. He had just returned from vacation where he was one of them Team USAmajor players, so it’s understandable why they don’t have to travel more than 2,700 miles to play a game that has no bearing on their postseason hopes.

However, saying that ahead of a preseason game in which his Lakers will face a Milwaukee Bucks team that is looking to start the season on a high is not the best expression for him and his team. It’s gotten to the point where even one of James’ most vocal critics has bought into this narrative own shot.

Fans can expect a tense match as both teams will be looking to win and gain momentum for the season.
