Milwaukee Bucks veteran Patrick Beverley is proud of his elite defense. But it’s also true that Pat Bev is the type to call it like it is. That’s why the feisty veteran is more bold in stating that he’s not the best defender in the NBA right now.
According to Beverley himself, that title belongs to former Bucks star Jrue Holiday.

In a recent episode of his podcast, Beverley shared his truthful thoughts on Holiday and what the latter brings to the Boston Celtics. Pat Bev was full of praise for Holiday’s unbridled defense. In fact, the Bucks veteran boldly stated that Holiday has been the NBA’s top defender over the last decade:

Bucks fans won’t dispute Beverley’s statement here. After all, everyone witnessed and experienced Holiday’s elite defensive ability during his time with the Bucks. The two-time All-Star was undeniably instrumental in the Bucks’ iconic 2021 title, making Holiday a favorite among Bucks fans. This is despite the fact that he has now joined the “enemy” in Bean Town.
While Beverley won’t stop bragging about what he thinks he can do for his team, the three-time All-Defense guard is still able to appreciate greatness when he sees it. Apparently that’s what Pat Bev sees in Holiday.
