Milwaukee Bucks star point guard Damian Lillard came to Cream City in a 2023 trade with dreams of winning his first NBA title. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen right away, as the Bucks failed to advance past the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Additionally, his NBA 2K rating dropped.
In NBA 2K24, he had a rating of 94. However, in the video game version of 2K25, his rating dropped to just 89. That’s still well above the league average and in the top ten defenders in the NBA, but it’s still a noticeable drop.
Damian Lillard’s NBA 2K25 Rating Still Has Room to Improve
Ronnie Singh, better known as Ronnie2k, said Lillard’s stock is expected to rise based on several factors, including the fact that the former Weber State Wildcats player is still playing for a top NBA title contender.
“I don’t think Dame is at the level where he’ll be able to regress, but he’ll need to have a massive bounce-back year,” Singh said, according to Dalton Sell from “Behind the Buck”.
“The ingredients are there for him. I think his grade is something we all have to watch out for and expect him to come back, but that comes with results. He’s in the spotlight as the clear number two in Milwaukee. … I think he has a chance to rise or fall dramatically. … I knew it was going to be controversial, but that’s what Dame is. He’s a former cover athlete, so we expect big things.”
