Minnesota, Missouri uses sales tax to fund conservation; Should Wisconsin follow suit?

Hunting, fishing and trapping licenses have traditionally provided most of the funding for state departments of natural resources, but as the number of license buyers declines and is expected to decline even more, some states have made efforts to provide support to more citizens – such as unique programs including sales tax.
Minnesota and Missouri are two examples where a compact boost in the state sales tax now funds environmental programs.
