It was a dim, rainy morning when Washburn County Highway Commissioner Brian Danielsen called the owner of a home at the intersection of County Roads A and H in the town of Scott in Burnett County.
“It’s the end of an era,” he said. “The king is dead. We found him this morning.”
For the past 14 or 15 years, the “King” has been the majestic, albino whitetail deer that lives in this area.
