Junior Captain Ryker Thomas said that the team took him personally when he was set up in third place and felt extremely motivated after falling into rockets at the beginning of this season.
“He plays with this great crowd and the energy was high,” said Thomas. “It was simply – it was great fun. All boys loved it. It was probably the most energetic bus ride home. “
One large difference in this year’s team is the number of subclasses.
“I play with the second and first year student,” said Thomas. “But I like it. They have many skills – many of these young children, many skills are approaching. I love it in our team. We can be young, but we are all great hockey players. “
The older goalkeeper Anton Widas said that he hopes to prove that many people are wrong this weekend.
“I feel that we are perceived as a group that should not win it or do as far as we do,” said Widas. “But we have all this because we worked hard and remained in touch and positive.”
While they are a youthful team, Szkozinski said that this is a very complete group.
“Everyone contributes from top to bottom,” said Szkozinski. “Every day guys are engaged and ready to practice and ready for hard work. And I think that only shows that if you devote yourself to something and still work on it, you can be rewarded. “
Tritons will compete with Wausau West on Friday at 14.00 in the Division 1 semi -finals on Legacy 20 Arena Bob in Middleton, Wisconsin.
The winner will play in the match for the championship on Saturday, March 8 at 19.00
