Beginning this season, Wisconsin hunters will receive a replacement tag for both sexes if they harvest an antlerless deer that tests positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD) in Wisconsin.
The tag will be good for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. It will be valid in the same zone where the first deer was shot and will not apply solely to the hunting tool. Trade permits were previously granted only for the same type of deer that tested positive: buck tag for buck, doe tag for doe.
