It seems they need to raise enough money to bury the last four of 52 dead nuns, who were accidentally poisoned by the convent cook, Sister Julia (Child of God). The five remaining sisters perform with a fast-paced, comic flair and cheerful singing. It’s an outrageous premise for a long-running hit that is “sinfully” amusing and definitely addictive.
