Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst and coach Matt LaFleur will apply information and evaluations gathered during a full training camp, two joint practices and three preseason games to make the hard decisions necessary to trim the team’s roster to 53 players by Tuesday afternoon.
While dozens of players will be released over the next two days, many will return to the 16-man practice squad. After the waiver period expires Wednesday, the Packers can begin building a practice squad.
