The Green Bay Packers will be without cornerback Jaire Alexander for a sixth straight game after the team ruled him out on Friday’s final injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Alexander, who first suffered a knee injury on October 28, was moved to the restricted category on Thursday and to the non-competitive category on Friday. He hasn’t played since Week 11, when he was only available for 10 snaps before leaving the field with a worsening knee ligament injury.
Coach Matt LaFleur did not provide any additional context on Alexander’s health on Friday. He had been training in various positions for the past three weeks, but was not physically ready to return.
Alexander will miss his ninth game of the season and 19th in the past two seasons. He only played seven games in 2024 after appearing in just seven in 2023.
The Packers also ruled out running back Evan Williams, who will miss a second straight game with a quadriceps injury, and linebacker Quay Walker, who is sidelined for the second straight week after suffering an ankle injury in Seattle.
Backup attackman Andre Dillard suffered a concussion this week and will be sidelined on Sunday.
Three players are out: receiver Christian Watson (knee), safety Javon Bullard (ankle) and linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper (ankle).
Watson suffered a knee injury Monday night against the New Orleans Saints and did not participate in any games during the week’s practice, but LaFleur left the door open for the third-year winger to play Sunday if his body responds over the weekend.
Bullard, who missed two games with an ankle injury, could return after three confined practices this week. His return could ease Williams’ absence at safety.
The Vikings had only two indications on the final injury report: cornerback Fabian Morean was out and linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. was out. is questionable.
