Green Bay Packers lost another defensive coach. According to Dianna Russini z AthleticAnthony Perkins defensive quality control coach was employed as a up-to-date secondary trainer for Jacksonville Jaguars.
36 -year -old Perkins spent only one season in Green Bay. Before joining Packers, he trained at a collegiate level for five years, recently as a corner coach in the state of Oregon after he played the same role in the state of Colorado.
Perkins is to join Jacksonville’s defense staff led by Anthony Campanile, who was employed last week as the Jaguar defense coordinator. Campanile, like Perkins, spent only one season with Packers in 2024.
No wonder that Green Bay defensive assistants are poachared after the success of the unit this season. Packers took sixth place in complete defense, sixth in defense of scoring, fifth in yards to the game and fourth in the car.
Matt Lafleur and Jeff Hafley will have to work in hand to find the right replacements for Perkins and Campanile to maintain this growing defense on the right track, heading until the next season.
