Packers sections: Josh Jacobs returns to practice, rookie Jordan Morgan leaves with injury

The Green Bay Packers resumed full-strength practice Tuesday with quarterback Josh Jacobs participating but soon after lost rookie offensive lineman Jordan Morgan to an unspecified injury.

Jacobs was dressed in full uniform and took part in 11-on-11 training after missing the last two practices with a minor groin injury.

While Jacobs’ injury appears to be healed, a modern, more solemn injury emerged Tuesday — Morgan left the practice field and returned to the Don Hutson Center with a trainer, according to reporters at practice.

Morgan is the Packers’ first overall draft pick. He has been a starter — and is listed as a starter on the team’s first unofficial depth chart — at right guard.

Sean Rhyan took Morgan’s place in the first attacking line. Morgan did not return to training, per Ryan Wood from PackersNews.com.

The Packers have an open practice on Wednesday, so an update on Morgan’s injury may not come until Matt LaFleur speaks to the media before practice.

The Packers reported two modern injuries following Saturday night’s Family Night: quarterback Dimitri Stanley missed practice with a hamstring injury and quarterback Rory Starkey missed practice with a calf injury.

Offensive tackle Tucker Kraft returned from the PUP list. Still out with previous injuries: cornerback Carrington Valentine, starting linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, cornerback Don Callis, edge rusher Deslin Alexandre, edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare, offensive lineman Donovan Jennings and edge rusher Keshawn Banks.
