Packers sections return to practice on Wednesday OL Jordan Morgan and CB Carrington Valentine

The Green Bay Packers reportedly returned first-round draft pick Jordan Morgan and cornerback Carrington Valentine to the field on Wednesday Mike Spofford from the band’s official website.

The first injury report of the week will be published on Wednesday. Expect both Morgan and Valentine to be listed as circumscribed as they recover from injuries.

Morgan re-injured his shoulder in Week 2 and missed the final two games. In his absence, Sean Rhyan was the full-time right-back player.

Valentine suffered an ankle injury and missed Week 3. He showed up on track to return in Week 4, but missed Friday practice and was inactive on Sunday.

Morgan may need time before he is physically ready to return to the rotation with Rhyan at right guard. He has now injured the same shoulder twice in about a month and a half, and Rhyan is becoming more and more confident as a full-time player.

Valentine was also in the rotation before his injury. He replaced Eric Stokes at cornerback in Week 2, but it’s unclear how his absence will impact playing time going forward. The Packers need better cornerback play, and having Valentine back – even in a rotation with Stokes – could support.

The Packers will face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.

The Packers were without five players at Wednesday’s practice: receiver Christian Watson, defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, cornerback Jaire Alexander, offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins and tight end Luke Musgrave. Both Watson and Wyatt were interrupted by ankle injuries in Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.
