Packers sections sideline 3 players, including WR Romeo Doubs, for Week 13 vs. Dolphins

The Green Bay Packers will be without their starting wide receiver, starting cornerback and starting cornerback for Thursday’s holiday matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

The team ruled out receiver Romeo Doubs, cornerback Jaire Alexander and defensive lineman Edgerrin Cooper in the final injury report released Wednesday.

Doubs suffered a concussion during Sunday’s win over the San Francisco 49ers and had a good chance of getting through the league’s concussion protocol in time for the game against the Dolphins. Without Doubs, the Packers will likely call on Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton and Malik Heath more often as complementary players at receiver.

Alexander (knee) and Cooper (hamstring) will miss the second straight game with pre-existing injuries. Last week, Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine took most of the snaps at linebacker, while Eric Wilson and even rookie Ty’Ron Hopper got time at linebacker.

The Packers also deemed center Josh Myers (pectoral), linebacker Isaiah McDuffie (ankle) and quarterback John FitzPatrick (defensive back) as unfit to play. All three were injured last week.

Matt LaFleur’s team could be missing a starting defenseman if McDuffie – who was rated as circumscribed on Wednesday – is unable to play.

The Dolphins ruled out linebacker Tyus Bowser, cornerback Kendall Fuller and linebacker Anthony Walker Jr., and listed starting left tackle Terron Armstead as questionable.
