Packers Wire Personnel Predictions Sections: Week 3 vs. Titans

The Green Bay Packers are in Nashville to play the undefeated Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Nissan Stadium. After defeating the Indianapolis Colts in their home opener, the Packers will try to steal another game without available quarterback Jordan Love.

The Packers are reportedly set to trade former Titans quarterback Malik Willis on Sunday, according to multiple reports. The Titans traded Willis — a third-round pick in 2022 — to the Packers as part of final cuts.

Willis win his return to Nashville? He will need another dominant performance from the running game and the defense around him.

Here’s what Packers Wire thinks the Week 3 clash with the Titans will look like:

Zach Kruse: Titans 23, Packers 17 (0-2)

My initial prediction was that the Packers would win by six if Jordan Love plays and the Titans by six if Malik Willis plays. Reports Saturday night indicate that Willis will start Sunday, so we’re changing that prediction. Willis played well against the Colts last Sunday — no doubt about it. Can he repeat that feat against a much better defense and a team that knows him well? The Packers likely won’t be able to run the ball when they want to, and Willis will have to make gigantic throws in obvious passing situations. That’s a lofty order. Will Levi’s chaos factor gives the Packers a real chance to steal another one, but the Titans will be a desperate team playing in warm conditions at home. A 1-1 tie without Love wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Brandon Carwile: Packers 24, Colts 10 (1-1)

Brennen Rupp: Packers 20, Colts 10 (2-0)

Greg Williams: Packers 24, Titans 13 (1-1)

Regardless of who starts at quarterback, the Packers are the better team. The Packers defense played great against the Colts and I expect them to have the same game plan against the Titans, especially considering how sloppy Will Levis was with the ball. The only thing that worries me about this game is that the Titans run defense is a tougher opponent compared to the Colts. I don’t see the Packers running the Titans, so Malik Willis (or Jordan Love if he gets cleared) will have to do more through the air. I’m not too worried about Willis throwing the ball through the air because I believe Matt LaFleur is imaginative and can put Willis in a position to succeed.

Writer Forecast Result Record
Zach Kruse Loss 23-16 0-2
Brandon Carville Win 24-10 1-1
Burn Rupp Win 20-14 2-0
Greg Williams Win 24-13 1-1
