Packers Wire Sections Personnel Predictions: Week 11 vs. Bears

On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers will travel to Chicago to play the team’s first game of the 2024 road league season at Soldier Field. Matt LaFleur’s team is 0-2 in the NFC North, but has a chance to both solidify its playoff position and send the rival Bears to their fourth straight loss.

Can the Packers say goodbye to a substantial win at Soldier Field?

Here’s how the Packers Wire staff thinks the Week 11 matchup with the Bears will go:

Zach Kruse: Packers 22, Bears 13 (4-5)

As with the last 10 games in this series, I’m going with the Packers to win outright and cover the spread. Matt LaFleur’s team looks like a contender and is mostly hearty after the bye game as the Bears make substantial, desperate changes to revitalize their first season under a rookie quarterback who may have been dead. This is a game the Packers need to take control of early and finish tardy. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a tough game given the Bears’ passing strength and red zone defense, but the Packers should be able to keep the football alive and put pressure on the starting quarterback, causing a few sacks or fumbles. The Packers are assumed to be moving the ball consistently, but will have to settle for a few field goals to keep the Bears in the game. And it wouldn’t be a Packers-Bears game if a tardy interception didn’t seal the deal.

Brandon Carwile: Packers 31, Bears 14 (7-2)

The Bears enter Week 11 like a wounded animal, and the Packers could take a kill shot. After losing three games, Chicago is desperate to salvage its season, deciding to part ways with its offensive coordinator earlier this week. However, this is unlikely to impact the play of their offensive line, which is a mess. Green Bay could make it a very arduous day for rookie Caleb Williams, who has been sacked more often than any other quarterback. In addition to the pass rush and favorable matchup, the offense should start to find its rhythm now that Jordan Love is off the injured list. I’m predicting a substantial performance from Love and company, consisting of three passing touchdowns and a long day for a Bears offense that won’t be effective against Jeff Hafley’s defense.

Brennen Rupp: Packers 27, Bears 7 (8-1)

The Bears have looked lifeless on offense over the last two games, and I don’t think a change in offensive coordinator will make a difference. The bye week allowed Green Bay to improve the health of some players, and I expect them to continue to dominate their division rival. As a rookie, Lukas Van Ness recorded six tackles and two sacks against the Bears. Last year’s first-round draft pick is gaining an increasing role with the Preston Smith trade, and his breakout could begin on Sunday. Give me a comfortable Packers win in Chicago.
